222 Loyola Redevelopment
Short term apartment construction project 222 Loyola Redevelopment is a hospitality / residential restoration and re-use build-out within an existing designated historic eight-story building in downtown New Orleans. The building was operating at the start of the project as a vehicular parking garage with three vacated floors above it. The owners wished to create luxury short-term apartment/hotel units on the top floors and add on a new Penthouse level with a rooftop pool, hot tub, entertaining deck space, and balconies, all while maintaining the historic elements and nostalgic ‘50s charm of the building. This mixed-use building returns the unused levels of the building to commerce with a 31-unit, 127 bedroom development of three-, four-, five-, and six-bedroom units.
The Associated Builders and Contractors Pelican Chapter named this short term apartment construction project an Excellence in Construction Award Winner for 2023.
