NASA Cryogenic Control Center & Safe Haven for LOX/LH2 Barges

The Control Center is constructed of structural precast concrete wall panels with a precast double tee roof substructure, standing seam metal roofing, fixed aluminum windows, concrete and asphalt paving, and associated mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems. The Safe Haven portion of the project included modifications to the existing cryogenic (liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen) process piping systems utilized in the manufacture of rocket fuel for testing of rocket engines. Also included in the modifications was the addition of vacuum jacketed piping, cryogenic valves, and a barge transfer system.
