McDermott Borstar Polymers Additives/Catalyst Warehouse

The Catalyst Warehouse industrial construction project was built to store potentially hazardous materials utilized in the plant production process. To meet this purpose, multiple special systems were required including explosion-proof electrical equipment, a ventilation system with gas detection sensors, spill containment, and a sprinkler system. The building slab was constructed approximately five feet above grade to allow the unloading of semi-trailers at two overhead door receiving areas. The building was also equipped with a forklift exit ramp for rapid unloading of materials with direct access to the plant.
