Joy Theater Renovation
A complete historic restoration preserved this 1947 landmark art-deco style movie theater and converted it into a multi-purpose venue to accommodate live music, comedic, and theatrical performances as well as private events. Features include:
- Fully restored iconic red and white marquee for promotion of upcoming attractions and exterior, freestanding ticket booth
- Two levels – first floor with flexible seating and second floor balcony with permanent seating and upscale, custom bar
- State-of-the-art sound and lighting systems
- Custom built-in stage
- Installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- ADA upgrades and accessibility
- Designed and constructed within 5 months
- Utilized Federal & State Historic District Tax Credits
