Entergy Lake Charles Power Station Warehouse & Administration Building
McDonnel was hired for the new construction of an industrial warehouse and administration building at the Lake Charles Power Station. This project had a tight schedule to get plant facility staff out of temporary trailers and into this new commercial warehouse with a furnished first floor and second floor mezzanine administrative space built to house staff. McDonnel was able to utilize accelerations, subsequencing, and coordination to expedite construction and save the owner two months of trailer rental costs. The exterior envelope of this pre-engineered metal building contains three large openings for overhead roll-up doors, missile-rated storm shutters at all windows, and a separate enclosed 50’ vestibule that connects to an existing facility. The building is rated for 150 MPH wind loads and is colored Federal Tan per the client’s request.
