BP Project at Shell Metocean Training Facility

Fast track project consisting of approximately 8,500 square feet of temporary office buildings, media center, and kitchen facility for use by the United States Coast Guard and its subcontractors in response to the BP oil spill disaster. The project included new utilities for water, sewer, electrical, tele/data, and propane gas. Over 6,000 tons of crush concrete were installed for temporary building foundations, parking, and roadways. Approximately 7,500 square feet of elevated decking interconnecting the temporary facilities, including Louisiana State Fire Marshal compliant stairs, ramps, and handrails. Work for the project was performed by multiple crews working 24 hours per day for the duration of the project.The project also involved period maintenance and complete demobilization of the temporary facility.
