Industrial Admin Buildings

Industrial Admin Building Construction for Gulf Coast Facilities

Industrial admin buildings do more than merely house offices. They support the people, processes, training, coordination, and daily operations that keep complex facilities moving.

The McDonnel Group guides industrial owners and EPCs through the construction of administration and support buildings with the safety discipline, planning, and quality control required in active industrial environments.

Why Clients Choose McDonnel

Industrial admin buildings often sit within or near complex operating facilities, where access, safety, security, traffic flow, and ongoing operations all shape the construction plan. These projects may look straightforward from the outside, but the environment around them demands a higher level of coordination.

McDonnel brings the process, communication, and construction management experience needed to deliver these buildings with fewer surprises and greater confidence.

Industrial Admin Building Experience

Much of our work is confidential. Below are anonymous descriptions of some of our experience with industrial admin buildings.

Integrated Administration, Control Room, Warehouse, and Lab Building

McDonnel is constructing a large multi-function industrial building designed to consolidate office, control room, warehouse, field personnel, laboratory, locker room, and restroom spaces into one facility. The building includes structural pile-supported foundations, conventional steel framing, concrete tilt-up wall panels, curtain wall systems, and blast-rated design considerations. This project reflects McDonnel’s experience delivering all-in-one industrial support buildings where administration, operations, logistics, and technical spaces must function together.

Refinery Administration Building Consolidation

McDonnel constructed a two-story administration building adjacent to an active refinery to consolidate administrative operations that had previously been spread across multiple locations. The facility included offices, workstations, conference and meeting rooms, storage areas, a fitness center, wellness clinic, and voice, data, and security control room. The project demonstrates McDonnel’s ability to deliver professional workplace environments inside complex industrial settings where access, security, safety, and daily operations must remain coordinated.

Power Station Warehouse and Administrative Facility

McDonnel delivered a new industrial warehouse and administrative facility on a compressed schedule to move plant staff out of temporary trailers and into permanent workspace. The building included a furnished first floor, second-floor mezzanine administrative space, overhead roll-up doors, storm protection features, and a vestibule connection to an existing facility. Through acceleration, subsequencing, and close coordination, McDonnel helped the owner reduce temporary facility costs while delivering a durable building designed for Gulf Coast conditions.

Non-Process Support Facilities Within an Active Industrial Site

McDonnel completed multiple non-process support facilities within an active industrial environment, including a maintenance building, central operator building, and hazardous waste storage building. The design-build project required integration with existing site utilities while maintaining ongoing plant operations. The work reflects McDonnel’s strength in delivering the support buildings industrial teams rely on every day, from maintenance and operations to safety, storage, and plant personnel support.

Types of Industrial Admin Buildings

McDonnel supports the construction of:

Built for the Way Industrial Teams Work

From petrochemical and refining campuses to manufacturing, LNG, energy, and heavy industrial facilities, McDonnel understands that support buildings must serve both the people inside them and the operations around them.

When the building supports critical facility teams, the construction process needs to be just as controlled as the work happening beyond its walls.
